Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC) Rating.
IMC Rating 1 Week: Aeroplanes
Tired of being grounded by a low cloud base? Is it frustrating when your IMC rated peers radio back and advise that it's beautiful blue skies and sunshine on top at 3,000ft! Join them and significantly improve your flying skills.
An Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC) Rating is an invaluable aid to all pilots whether old hands or fresh from the PPL course. The rating permits flight in a much wider range of weather conditions including cloud and poor visibility, useful given our country’s changeable conditions!
This rating will give any pilot the confidence to explore far and wide secure in the knowledge that navigation in unfamiliar territory can be accomplished in a precise, safe and easy manner. You will be able to handle situations such as channel crossings and hazy summer days with increased confidence.
Prior to commencing the course you will need to hold a PPL(A) and have logged 10 hours P1 flight time (post licence issue).
All of our courses are delivered by extremely talented, patient and enthusiastic instructors who are both qualified teachers and professional pilots with a wealth of operational experience. We care about your needs and particular learning style.
